What if you could honor your grief while still finding ways to feel more empowered? Join me, Margo Rose of Body Aware Living, as I converse with Meriel Wisotsky, a remarkable woman who has navigated life after losing her husband of 44 years.

Discover how Meriel has proactively planned for emotionally challenging times and turned them into opportunities for personal growth. Meriel learns how to use a healing technique I call Green-Yellow-Red to listen more carefully to her own body to figure out which choices feel most supportive to her during these confusing times.

Enjoy this episode of Body Aware Living and hopefully find new ways to navigate your own emotional landscapes.

Stay tuned to the last 15 minutes of this recording when we share a bonus follow up interview with Meriel! She shares how she has been navigating her first holiday season without Mayer and using the Green-Yellow-Red technique to plan a satisfying memorial with friends and family.

Guest Bio/contact info:

Meriel Wisotsky is an artist who draws on her art school background, travels, and researches to create her own unique approach to the creative process.  Like her late husband, Mayer Wisotsky, she is also a poet, writer and editor.  She edited and provided the artwork for Mayer’s Legend of the Twilight Owls, as well as his first book, The Woodcarver’s Son. Animals are her main subject and she captures them with joy– sometimes realistic, sometimes whimsical or stylized. “I make my art for the good of my soul and to spread happiness in the world.”
